Grab A Bin is a skip hire company based in Whangārei, New Zealand, offering bin rentals for residential and commercial waste removal. While the original site and bin hire system were already in place, the client sought a major functional upgrade after evaluating a competitor's booking experience. They approached Sfera Studio to design a more user-friendly, postcode-based rental flow—one that felt modern, clear, and simple to use while staying within Webflow’s no-code ecosystem.

Problems we solve

Inspired by BookaBin’s process, the client wanted to replicate a similar checkout experience, where users could input their postcode, view available bin sizes, understand what can and can't go into each bin, and complete a multi-step booking—all with accurate pricing tied to their delivery area. Since the client didn’t require a full availability dashboard, the challenge was to design a pre-order system that captured payment intent without needing backend infrastructure or complex API logic.

The Process

We rebuilt the booking experience using a Webflow + Foxy stack. A CMS-driven system was developed to store postcodes along with their corresponding shipping rates. These were then dynamically pulled into the booking interface using Finsweet Attributes. The checkout flow includes bin selection, hire date, postcode entry, and pricing display—all feeding into a Foxy checkout with card verification (but no immediate charge). After submission, the client manually confirms availability via Foxy’s admin panel before finalizing payment.

We also added a structured page to display all serviced locations and postcodes—providing users with clarity and helping boost SEO through localized content.

The Outcome

The result is a sleek, multi-step booking system tailored for Grab A Bin’s operations—offering customers an intuitive experience without overcomplicating backend management. The solution empowers the client to manage availability manually while still maintaining a professional and streamlined user flow.

The Impact

The new process has significantly reduced booking friction and improved customer confidence with upfront pricing and clear location service visibility. Grab A Bin now competes more directly with larger operators in the region, with a modern booking system built entirely on no-code tools.

Their existing setup using Finsweet v1 was limiting, so they engaged Sfera Studio to upgrade to Finsweet v2 and implement a CMS-driven custom filter that would allow for dynamic filtering per event without developer input.

Garden on the Wall

Garden on the Wall, a biophilic design company based in New Jersey, partnered with us to elevate their Webflow site into a more dynamic and functional platform. While much of their website was already developed, they needed our expertise to implement more advanced interactivity, enhance the site’s flow, and create a password-protected Designer Hub. This restricted area would allow designers from approved firms to gain access via a passcode system, intelligently managed using email domain validation and automation tools like Memberstack and Zapier. In addition, we improved responsiveness across all devices, added smooth scroll-based animations, and refined the overall user experience.
